My father-in-law passed away a month ago and the pastor spoke on 2 Corinthians 5 which speaks about our body being like a temporary tent that gets tattered and broken down as time goes on. The Lord has a house ready for us in heaven and we long to be in that house. I hadn't really thought about that too much before but now I'll never forget it.

Re-building a Luna Moth - Scholz design

Hi all !

I´ve happened to buy a kite-sail. It´s just the sail, and I thought it could be a fun little project, to restore it to former glory. It is a Joel K. Scholz design, and it is a Luna Moth. Apparantly made for "Go fly a Kite" in China. I´ve tried googling it, and searching numerous forums, to get some data on it. But have´nt had much luck this far.

As it is just the sail, I´m looking for all other data, framing, bridle and so on. Maybe some of you know this...

My girlfriend (now we are married) was in hospital, 7 months pregnant, and I did´nt know if she or our baby would live 12 hours later. Frame powerkite for kiteboarding?

I've recently flown a HUGE powerkite called "The Arbitrator." I've been thinking about rigging it for 4-line, perhaps stacking 2 or 3 of them, and trying it out as a traction kite or with my ATB (All Terrain Board).

Has anyone tried this?

We were discussing this at fun fly and had one of the original members who started this monster ride (Trail of Tears) now days on field with us.
Which I have noticed a pattern that is related to kite flyers as I keep meeting people along the way. I run into a large portion of folks who ride or have rode for years and have a love for motorcycles as well. If you ride or have rode like myself for many years post here and say what you ride now or last bike you owned and maybe a pic of it if...

Looking for a Nirvana LW, whole kite or just the sail. Any one have one sitting around not getting much air time?

I am hoping to do some re-framing, so frame condition is not as important to me as sail condition. (hopefully great to excellent)
No real color preference, but red would be my most preferred with yellow being my least preferred.

I could also be persuaded to trade an Exile for one if it might help. Let me know.

Are you guys/gals going to some OSOW-fly´s this year ?

Here in Denmark there are at least one OSOW-fly, and I´m going for sure. Hoping for good flying weather, and that I can bust the cherry, on my new kite. With a little bit of luck, it could be here just in time.

Kite framing - Spine question

OK here is one that has been bugging me a bunch lately,

I have been looking at the frame specs for the R-Sky brand kites, Nirvanas specifically, and this got me to wondering.
Why on the Sky Shark framed kites the spine is 5/6mm carbon, but in the Icone frame it is 3/5PT tapered rods?
Is this related to cost in relation to the rest of the frame, or related to performance in relation to the rest of the frame?
